Specie Description
Brazilian Redwood, also known as Massaranduba, is a gorgeous and durable hardwood whose durability makes it a frequent choice not only for flooring but decking as well. The naturally beautiful heartwood can range from light to dark brownish-red, with a grain that can be straight, somewhat wavy, or interlocked. Brazilian Redwood is also very easy to maintain, and it's Janka hardness rating of 3,190 ensures that it will stand up just as well against impacts in the short term as it will against decay in the long term.

Grading
First Clear grade material is color matched in most species of wood. This is the highest grade available in decking items. No open defects are allowed on at least one face and material is 100% heartwood. Small tight knots, occasional pin holes, and other small, non-structural defects are allowed on the back side and edges.

General Product Information
Extremely hard and naturally durable, Massaranduba Hardwood Decking has been used for many years as exterior decking in North America and Europe. Not the most stable tropical wood, our Massaranduba is kiln dried and therefore requires 1/4" spacing between boards. We have limited inventory in the US but can arrange direct shipments from South America.
