Specie Description

Birch heartwood color can vary from light reddish brown to dark brown with red tinges. The sapwood can be white to light colored. Birch has a fine, uniform texture and a straight grain.

Grading

Typically used in stained flooring products, A-B-C prefinished allows a wider range of color than A-B. This is still one of the highest grades available in solid prefinished material. Properly kiln dried to 6-8% at the time of manufacture, our A-B-C Prefinished is graded similar to 1 Common and Better.
