Platinum ExoShield is a pure white and black pigment with no other colors added. A pure mid gray. If you want to let your wood age naturally to a silver gray, start with our Platinum and never refinish again. Or you can use a 24 month maintenance cycle on decking and 48+ on your siding and fencing.

ExoShield is a deep-penetrating tung oil finish for all hardwoods and softwoods, exterior and interior: decking, siding, fencing, furniture, paneling and more. It is made for dense tropical hardwoods such as Ipe, Cumaru, Batu, Red Balau, Meranti and Mahogany, and works equally well on Cedar, Redwood, Douglas Fir, Oak, Walnut, Hickory, Birch, Hemlock, Bamboo and thermally modified woods.
Coverage varies with the species and the age of the wood. One gallon covers up to 800 sq ft on dense hardwoods and up to 450 sq ft on softwoods. We plan jobs at 600 and 400 sq ft per gallon so you don't run short, and older, weathered boards take more.
