South Pacific Redwood (Manilkara / Torem)

South Pacific Redwood is our name for Manilkara, a close relative of South American Massaranduba (Bulletwood), also known as Torem. It shares the same extreme density — roughly 3,190 Janka — and the same striking red color, but it is noticeably more stable in service and much less prone to checking than Massaranduba, which is the reason we carry it as a distinct offering rather than a substitute.

The stocked line is S4S eased-edge boards in Select-and-Better and Standard-and-Better grades: 1x4 and 1x6 for siding and trim, and 5/4x6 for decking.
