The 1x6 is the workhorse of exterior cladding — wide enough to cover ground quickly, narrow enough to stay flat and stable through wet and dry cycles. It is the most-stocked size in the catalog, and it carries more distinct profiles than any other dimension, because nearly every siding and paneling pattern is milled at this width.
