Cumaru, Brazilian Teak Hardwood — Catalog

Supplier of Cumaru hardwood flooring, also known as Brazilian Teak flooring. Because of its density, Cumaru is very resistant to termites and decay.

Cumaru (Brazilian Teak) Hardwood

Cumaru is a tough, dense Brazilian hardwood with an irregular, somewhat interlocked grain and a wavy, coarse texture. Its density — around 3,200 Janka — makes it highly resistant to termites and decay, and puts it in the same durability conversation as Ipe while presenting a warmer face: the heartwood is medium brown with distinctive tan shades running through it.

Our Cumaru is stocked in First Clear and Standard-and-Better grades as S4S eased-edge decking in 1x4, 1x6, and 5/4x6, plus a 1x6 rainscreen siding profile for exteriors that carry the same wood across deck and wall.

See also Ipe for the harder, olive-brown alternative.
