Nova Doju™ — The Cost-Effective Ipe Alternative
Doju is a dense South American hardwood and a close cousin to genuine Ipe, with a rich dark brown color and a Janka hardness of 3,680 lbs. It is rated very durable and resistant to fungi and decay, and it is one of the more stable hardwoods used outdoors — a good fit for close-to-ground decks and variable climates. Left untreated it weathers to a silver-grey; oiled or stained it keeps its golden-brown tone.
We stock Doju decking in First Clear grade, S4S with eased edges, in 1x4, 1x6, 5/4x4 and 5/4x6.
