Nova Korina Thermally Modified Hardwood
Supplier of Korina, Fracke, Thermally Modified Hardwood Lumber

Korina (Terminalia superba, also called Limba or Fracke) is a strikingly beautiful West African hardwood that we thermally modify for maximum stability. It is a medium-density wood — similar in weight and strength to Red Oak, White Oak, and Maple — with a medium brown color that takes a stain exceptionally well, so it suits projects where the finish color is being matched rather than left to weather.
We stock Korina in FAS grade at 5/4x6, in both an S4S eased-edge board and a grooved profile milled for hidden-fastener clips.
Its lighter, more weather-facing counterpart is Nova Ambara; see thermally modified for the full line.
