1x12 Hardwood Boards

The 1x12 is the widest one-inch board we carry — a full foot nominal. It exists for the details that need real breadth in a single piece: deep fascia, wide skirt and apron boards, stair risers, and bench and tabletop stock. At this width the wood's own stability is doing a lot of work, which is why it is stocked in a dense tropical and in a thermally modified species rather than in something that would cup.

Available in Standard-and-Better Batu as a square-edge board, and in FAS Nova Ambara rough-sawn.
