Beaded Ceiling (ECB / WP4)

Beaded ceiling — edge-and-center bead, the WP4 pattern — is a tongue-and-groove board with a decorative bead milled along its edge and, on wider boards, a second down the center. The bead breaks up the surface so a run of boards reads as a fine, regular rhythm rather than a flat plane, and the center bead makes a 6-inch board look like two narrow ones. It is the traditional beadboard porch ceiling.

We stock it in Standard-and-Better Batu (Red Balau) in 1x4 and 1x6, milled thin — the thickness a ceiling or soffit wants, where the board is carrying nothing but itself.
