Brazilian Redwood, also known as Massaranduba, is a gorgeous and durable hardwood whose durability makes it a frequent choice not only for flooring but decking as well. The naturally beautiful heartwood can range from light to dark brownish-red, with a grain that can be straight, somewhat wavy, or interlocked. Brazilian Redwood is also very easy to maintain, and it's Janka hardness rating of 3,190 ensures that it will stand up just as well against impacts in the short term as it will against decay in the long term.

First clear is the highest grade available in lumber. No open defects are permitted on one face and material is 100% heartwood. Occasional pin holes, small tight knots and other minor non-structural defects are allowed on the back side and edges.
General Product Information
Extremely hard and naturally durable, Massaranduba Hardwood Decking has been used for many years as exterior decking in North America and Europe. Not the most stable tropical wood, our Massaranduba is kiln dried or well air dried and therefore requires 1/4" spacing between boards. We have decking inventory in the US and can also arrange direct shipments from South America.
