Nova's Douglas Fir 1x4 is milled in the tongue & groove flooring match pattern — the traditional fir floor, and still the reference for porch decking under cover. Our flooring is graded VGX 85/15 dense, vertical grain, so at least 85% of every piece runs true vertical grain. That tight, straight grain is what wears evenly underfoot and keeps the narrow-line look of a real fir floor — a true old growth, fine grain Douglas Fir.
Our Douglas Fir clears are kiln dried for stability, so the material holds its dimension once it is inside and finished. We are happy to arrange final surfacing as required by many of our customers. Prefinishing can be quoted with the order.
