Nova's Douglas Fir 2x10 long lengths run 20 to 26 feet. Full sawn not standard sawn, a true 2x10 rough cut, and graded Select Structural. All material is grade stamped. All our long length 20 foot and up Select Structural material is dense, fine grain, cut from the Willamette Valley finest old growth logs.
All our Doug Fir Timbers come through our Forest Grove, Oregon facility so we can check grade and put the material on sticks for air drying. Every unit is horizontally stickered and all the larger size timbers are vertically stickered as well. Air dried lumber is vastly superior to kiln dried because air drying allows the material to give up its moisture slowly and evenly, without stressing the lumber by creating a large core to shell moisture differential. We are happy to arrange final surfacing as required by many of our customers. Nova carries a deep inventory in Timbers in both Oregon and the Hudson Valley in New York state.
Douglas Fir is not sold online. Contact Nova for pricing, current availability and lead time for your next Douglas Fir Timbers project.
