Lapacho Prefinished Flooring - A Great Value

Lapacho Prefinished Flooring

One of the hardest woods available, Lapacho is a type of Ipe or Brazilian Walnut. Lapacho belongs to the genus Tabebuia and offers a fairly consistent brown color in appearance, as well as a more distinct grain pattern when compared to Brazilian Ipe.

Pricing for Lapacho has varied over the last few years. When first introduced by Nova in 2006, we were able to sell every stick of Lapacho we could get our hands on. A strong building economy and attractive pricing put tremendous pressure on Lapacho supply. Within 6 months, we were forced to raise prices substantially and sales slowed as a result. But now with a slow economy, Lapacho pricing has fallen back to near 2006 levels.

This is a great opportunity for our customers to start promoting one of the hardest, most durable and most beautiful species of wood we carry.
