Nova Featured Product: Brazilian Brownheart

By Ben Nystrom, 05/15/12

Although not very well known in North America, Brazilian Brownheart is a very popular hardwood material in Brazil and commonly used for heavy construction and flooring. The wood is a beautiful dark chocolate brown and features light brown striping and subtle hints of red. The coarse, wavy grain pattern adds an eye-catching visual element to the wood and sets it apart from many other exotic hardwood flooring varieties.

Nova's Brazilian Brownheart hardwood flooring is ideal for those customers looking to avoid the characteristic heavy red tones of such popular species like Brazilian Cherry, Santos Mahogany, and Ipe. It's uniform and consistent brown color makes it an excellent alternative to woods like Cumaru and Oak. Additionally, the species has a hardness rating of 2,000 psi, making it significantly harder than most common domestic hardwoods and many exotics as well.

Nova USA Wood Products currently stocks Brazilian Brownheart hardwood flooring in 3/4" x 3" & 3-1/4" widths; lengths are 1'-7'. The product is clear grade and only available prefinished.

Contact your Nova USA flooring representative today to learn more about this beautiful exotic hardwood flooring variety, or call our corporate office directly at 503.419.6407. We look forward to hearing from you!
